This story is about my father's nephews wedding in 1990. My father's nephew an engineer by profession was getting married to a girl from Klang. The wedding took place at the St. Fatima Church in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. Me being the youngest child in the Samuel family at that time was chosen to be the Page Boy for the wedding. There were 3 rehearsals before the wedding day as to what I had to do on the day of the wedding.

On the day of the wedding, I was taken to the Church. The Bridegroom was already at the alter. The car carrying the bride arrived and we were assembled at the entrance to the Church for the bride to be taken to the alter. I was about 3 years old then and the crowd that was already seated in the Church really frightened me. When the procession was to begin and me as the Pageboy, I started panicking and all that was thought to me during the rehearsals was forgotten. In spite of my mum persuading me, I could not move anything further than the middle of the procession. My mum and my aunts did all their best to persuade me to move forward but instead I started crying out of fear. My mum then decided to walk with me instead and head the procession to the alter.

After the wedding mass was over came the photography session in front of the church and later at a Studio. The procession out was not too bad as the procession in. For the procession out I was able to walk alone without any fear as I was at the back of the bridal procession. All the photographs taken of the bridal procession towards the alter show 2 Page Boys, my mum and me.
