Ta'amiya

Ta'amiya is usually taken at lunch or dinner time. It can be taken with or without bread.

INGREDIENTS

? 1 Lb of Chick Peas
? Medium Onions
? Garlic
? Coriander Leaves
? Green Chilies (optional)
? 1 Egg, 1 Table spoon full of baking powder
? 1 Table spoon full of Sesame Seeds
? Pinch of Salt

Method

? Soak the Chick Peas for 4-6 hours or over night
? Drain the water form the Chick Peas and grind them into a paste (use grider of food prsscers)
? Blend onions, garlic, green chili and mix with Chick Peas paste
? Finely chop coriander leaves and add to the above mixture
? Slightly beat egg and baking powder and add to the paste
? Add Sesame Seeds
? Add Salt
? Shape into balls slighly flatend and deep fry
? Serve with or without bread
