Hi kids,

1. $100 (USA) = ?

Next, please list the items you would buy that total this amount.

2. I would buy...

                  (item)_____________ Cost ____________
                  (item)_____________ Cost ____________
                  (item)_____________ Cost ____________

                        Total =      ____________
Last, tell us why you chose the items you did.

3. I would spend my money on this... this.. and this because.....

December is a big month for holidays.... How would you spend this money if you had it? Choose wisely.

Warm hugs,

Subject: MONEY: What 550,000 roubles can buy
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ekaterinburg, Russia

Dear friends,

100$ is about 550,000 roubles. It is a very difficult question
for me what can I buy for such money. It is neither big sum, nor
too small. I have about 50,000 roubles each month and usually I
spend it for magazines and some cosmetics, like shampoo, gels,
mascara and others. It is fully enough for me but if I want some
new clothes we go to the market and spend about 500,000 roubles
there. For example, we can buy a nice skirt, a fashion bootees and
a blouse for such money. But if I could have 100$... I just don't
know, I must think what can I do with it. It also depends some
reasons, for example if my mom or brother or dad don't know about
it I can buy New Year presents for them (it is not interesting to
buy a present for mom for her money). Can I buy only three items
or any number? I want to know how Mariam want to spend this money
first. It will help me. Maybe another children'll write what they
want to do with such money too? It is just interesting for me.

                             Best wishes and love, Olya
