Date: Tue, 5 Nov 1996Hi kids, We are now in the last phase of our "Money Around the World" project where we will share with each other the prices of various articles in our countries. Many thanks to the students in Brasil who have already begun to do this! You get an A+. ;-) Do you expect the prices to vary much from country to country? When I visited the United Kingdom in 1995 my daughter wanted me to buy Docksider shoes for her because she said they are not as expensive there. When a friend visited the USA from the UK he went home with several pairs of denim jeans. When I was in Rio this summer several people who do not live in Brasil bought precious gems there at a very good price. What might be a 'good buy' in your country for the rest of us? Do your homework now... ;-) Don't be late. We need to hear from *all* of you who have been quiet lately. Warm hugs, |
