During this holiday we do many family activities. We get together and go around our friends' houses after midnight singing "agüilnaldos".(traditional music) We make special food during this holiday. We make some "arroz con gandules, pasteles, y lechón asado," which is our traditional food for this holiday.(rice with pigeon peas,special plate made out of plantain and pork, and roast beef) We celebrate Jesus birthday. We put christmas adornments and lights all over the house. It is a special holiday when all families and friends get together to have fun.

As for my family and I, December 25, we always get together with the whole family at my grandparents' house. That day in the morning we first say a prayer of thanksgiving. Then, we have breakfast. Finally, when everybody's done eating, my grandfather always wears a Santa Clous hat and gives out the presents. After that we just stay together sharing and having fun.
