Not very many people celebrate St. Lucia's day in America, but we do (when we remember it). My mother is part Swedish, so we think it's fun to celebrate it and, in doing so, celebrate her heritage. On the morning of St. Lucia's day, I dress in a white nightgown and put a wreath wotj battery-powered candles on my head (some people may still use real candles, but I'm afraid I'll catch my head on fire). Then, I serve breakfast in bed to everyone in the house. Not very many people celebrate St. Lucia's day in America, but we do (when we remember it).
