October
In Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving on the second Monday
in October. It is "a day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty
God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been
blessed." The tradition on how Thanksgiving was brought to
Canada in 1975 in Nova Scotia, the citizens of Halifax
celebrated the end of the seven years war with Thanksgiving.
For Thanksgiving we usually have friends or relatives
over, and we have a turkey for dinner. This year we're going
to my aunties house in Edmonton for a family reunion. We'll
celebrate Thanksgiving as well as my grandma and grandpa's
50th anniversary.
