While we realize that not all parents can or wish to be home full-time with their children, WAHM.com encourages working parents to take a vacation day on August 17, and spend the day with their children. The purpose of the day is to encourage and support those parents who have chosen, and those who are thinking about leaving the traditional workplace to be home with their children.
