Patriot's Day - USA
by Evan Gilbert

19 April

Patriots Day

My name is Evan Gilbert and I'm going to tell you about Patriots Day. This day celebrates the start of the American Revolution. At about 6 O'clock in the morning people from all over the town come to watch a reenactment of the American Revolution. To get a good seat to watch it you have to show up two hours before it starts. There is also a parade up Massachusetts Avenue, where people from the town line up on the street fair. Many people come to see the selectman and kids from the town schools march in the perade. This a very special holiday in my town because the American Revolution started in Lexington, Massachusetts, my home town. The reason this holiday is so important is because it represents the start of our fight for freedom.
