New Year's Eve - USA
by Nada Evanusa

31 December

Hi all,

I'm Nada Evanusa, a member of the Kidclub CORE Team. I have a strong Russian ancestry and many traditions to go along with it. My grandparents on my Dad's side were born in Russia, so the traditions have been passed along to us.

A New Year's tradition that my family has done since I can remember is each of us holds a silver dollar in our hand in hopes that we will have money in our pockets for the year to come.

Another one, which isn't particularly my favorite, is we each have to have a small bite of pickled herring, for that is supposed to be good luck. Hope these can be useful!

Nada
