Christmas Eve - USA
by Stephanie Terry and Lindsey Quist
24 December
Hi, we are Stephanie and Lindsey. We live in Salt Lake City, Utah. We are writing to you from Olympus Jr. High where we are both in the eighth grade. We are just wondering how you celebrate the Christmas or Hanukah season. Lindsey and I both Celebrate Christmas so here it goes.I (Stephanie) have a tradition that I have had for about four years. Every Christmas Eve when it gets dark out my family and I all load into the car to go to the airport. Once we get there we load into our airplane. Finally we take off. We are off! We then fly over the city lokking at the Christmas lights, so instead of paying all the money to see the parks we just fly over tham for free! After that we go home and pretty much go to bed. Well that is my favorite Christmas tradition. Here's Lindsey's
My family has lots of traditions, but I will just tell you a few. Every Christmas, on about the 16th, we have a Christmas Party over at my grandmas house, we call this the stocking party, this is when she gives us our presents, that are from her. Then on Christmas Eve, we go over to my grandmas, again, for another party, this is when she gives us a book. When we get home, we all the kids sleep in one bedroom, it is really fun. We also surprise my little brothers by going around the house, and jingling bells.
