APRIL FOOLS DAY
How did April Fools Day start? It started because New Year's Day fell during Easter week. This may sound weird but in many places around the world, New Years Day was celebrated during the Vernal Equinox that is March 21, the beginning of spring. In 1564 the king of France made a new calender and the celebration of New Years was changed to January 1. Many people would forget that New Years Day was changed and they would keep giving gifts out. Although some people claimed to forget and would give silly gifts out. That is why April 1 is a day for giving out funny gifts.
