Setsubun - Japan
by Chiemi Nakayama
3 February
Today is Setsubun. My family usually eats some beans, and some Makizushi (rolled sushi), facing the direction decided each year. I think spreading some beans is wasteful. But we spread some beens this year. The sushi direction of this year is north northeast.
A friend of mine gave some beans to my friends and me in our school when it was lunch time. Some of my classmates brought them. But we didn't spread them in school.
See ya,
Chiemi Nakayama
