Icelandic pupils Holiday

1. december are hollyday for Icelandic pupils. For many years ago Iceland was a colony of Denmark. But 1. december 1918 we got independence. Since then we have celebrated this day and all pupils have hollydays, but other people work as usual. This is not our national day. That is 17. june.
