The Shrove Tuesday
The tradition of having the Shrove Tuesday is that in the old days people used to fast 6 weeks before Easter. The Shrove Tuesday was then meant to be a day when you eat as much as possible, especially fat food. We have buns that are basically just ordinary wheat buns, but with almond paste and cream in them. Nowadays people don't fast (at least not many) but we still have the buns and the peasoup. The Shrove Tuesday is very popular among children. I don't know about any common things people use to do on Shrove Tuesday.
