Dear Readers,

We are from Campbell River B.C. and our school is called Ocean Grove Elementary. We have approximately 250 students from k-6. We live close to both the ocean and the mountains, both sites are beautiful. The old school was standing for 33 years. We knocked it down and built a new school. It is now 6 years old.

Many people with native ancestry live in our town, so totem poles help decorate our town. Down town Campbell River is growing extreamly fast. Last year in 1997 through January and Febuary Campbell River held the B.C Winter Games, hundreds of athletes from all over B.CV. came to compete in lots of different events.

It is rainy and mild here. It doesn't snow very often.

This is the home town of Rod Brindamour from the Philadelphia Flyers. We hope you have fun and enjoy the contest. Good luck !!
