Welcome to our Holiday writing project and curriculum idea page. Often we might want to take part in a writing project but really don't know where to start. This is where you should come for tips and ideas.

Holiday writing should not only take place in Decmber. Holidays happen throughout the year all over the world. It's my hope that we'll learn alot about each other's cultures while also sharing great ideas for classroom and writing projects. If you have an idea or classroom project you'd like to share, mail it to me or the kidwriter's list. Now on to our very first contributions. --John

Kidwriters,

The holiday season is here for many of us and everyone is busy buying presents. The shopping malls are filled with people looking for the "best" present ever. We are writing about the best present we ever received.

Do you have a best present, too? Please tell us about it. We are learning "main idea" and "details" in our writing lessons. Can you find our main ideas and details? If your a member of KIDWRITERS, send them to the Kidwriter's list. If your not a member of KIDWRITERS, e-mail them directly to me, Patti Weeg.

When you write back to us we will look for your main ideas and details, too. Then tell us what was the best present you ever received? ...and why?
