Rupert the bear
BY CANDY & LISA

Once upon a time there was a bear called Rupert and he loved going on picnics.  One
day his family said, let’s go for a picnic by  the pond in the woods. Mother Bear said I
will pack the basket of food and blankets. An hour later they got to the woods and
looked for the pond.

As they found the pond they laid out the blanket and unpacked the basket.  In the
basket were pies, cokes, cakes, oreos, ice lollies and flings. But something was missing
in the basket.
Mother Bear forgot all about it. She forgot about the berries for the dessert.  So
Rupert said I’ll get the berries from the bushes the bushes are across the lake.  Ok said
Father Bear and Mother
Bear.  But you must be back by sunset.

So off he went across the lake and down the hill, but there weren’t any berries on the
bushes.  He saw like a machine sucking up the berries and there was a secret door
opening from the ground. The machine threw the berries into the hole.  Rupert looked
into the hole and saw a car with berries and a ladder.  He climbed down the ladder and
he saw an elf and he said, STOP!!!!!!
Who are you?
I am Rupert.
You may enter.
Thanks, said Rupert. He went into the kitchen and asked where the chief of the elfs
was.  As Rupert was talking, the chief ran in and said, if I give you a basket of berries,
will you please go back to your mom and dad.  When he got back his mom and dad
were delighted to see him.
