We should be concerned because the plants might have cures for cancers and other diseases. We should be concerned because the rainforest is a main source of air. If the rainforest was destroyed the food chain would totally bust. The Indians will have to move to the city and not follow their culture any more.

We should be concerned about the rainforest in the world is because it gives us most of the air we breath. The plants there give us a lot of the worlds medicines. If the rainforests are cut down we will lose a lot of medicines because a lot of the plants would die. We would also lose a lot of animals that live there and food chain would go berserk because a lot lot of animals and plants would die. So other animals that eat them would die. The Indians would have to go to the city. They wouldn't be able to live like they wanted to. Animals would their homes and die. We can recycle paper to save the trees from being cut down because people cut down trees to get paper.

We should save the Rainforest because there are lots of plants and animals that we do not know about. There might be a plant that could cure Cancer or Aids. The Rainforest gives a lot of the worlds air. There might animals that could help us live easier. If Rainforest was destroyed the food chain would go crazy. Even the littlest thing could change the world. A lot of our medicines come from the Rainforest. If it was cut down we would die because the plants would be gone.

Through the eyes of an observer.
What could happen if all the rainforests were cut down?
If the rainforest was cut down, all kinds of horrible things might happen. There wouldn't be as much good oxygen, because most of the world's oxygen is produced from the rainforest's trees. The food chain would just completely CRASH. Lots of the things animals feed on live in (guess where) the rainforests. For example, if all the mosquitos in the world were killed, then we wouldn't get annoyed by the mosquitos biting us, but many species of birds would become extinct. Lots of birds feed mainly on mosquitos, and their food would be eliminated. This is a good analogy to the rainforest being destroyed.
If the rainforest would be cut down in some distant country, how would it effect us?
Picture a world without air. Everyone would have to wear gas masks full of stale and artificial oxygen. The climate would be rainy, because all the water in the rainforest would have gone to the atmosphere. Everyone would be sick, because the rainforest's medicine making plants would be gone. Horrible sight, isn't it? That is a world without rainforests. Life would really be a misery.
But that won't happen, will it?
Yes, it will. If the cattle breeders and paper-makers continue to destroy the rainforests, it sure will happen. Every time you go to McDonald's, or Burger King, or Arby's or some other fast food restaurant, you are encouraging the cattle breeders to destroy more of the rainforest.
AAAH! How can I prevent all these horrible things from happening?!
Well, other than not eating beef or other products of cattle as much, you could write letters to your local Congressman. You could encourage other people to do the same. REMEMBER: IF YOUR CONGRESSMAN RECEIVES ENOUGH LETTERS HE/SHE WILL TRY HARDER TO SAVE THE RAINFOREST. WE DEPEND ON YOU!

What can you do to help. Now that is a good question. Well first you can start by visiting your local zoo. They usually have donation boxes to help preserve the rainforest, or you can look in the yellow pages (they sometimes have things). Another thing you can do is look on packages before you by items especially items such as fire wood and make up to make sure they didn't use animal testing or wood from the rain forest.
"What would happen if the rainforest was gone"
If the rainforest was gone drugs would disappear, the air would have more carbon dioxide, hundreds of animals and bugs would become extinct. It's a pretty bad thought to think of what the world would be like without the rainforest. So I hope you will reconsider next time you want to get something from the rain forest.
"Just a Reminder"
Not necessarily everything that comes from the rainforest is bad. Such as drugs and other things used to help people in a positive way. Everything will be all right as long as we keep everything in balance.
