My Hero & Me

Responses:

Canada

My hero, Jane Goodall, inspires me to do great things someday.

She made a great contribution to science by spending years living with the

chimpanzees of the African jungles. She was even accepted into the chimpanzee

colonies as one of thier own! She found that chimps were more human than we

ever expected. I want to be like Jane Goodall because I plan to study bats.

I want to have her commitment and enthusiasim and I want to be able to study

the bats and be a great scientist, for people to recognize me as one of the

most famouse scientists in history, just like her. I want to tell people

things they never knew befor just because they were afraid to look. Iíll have

to achieve high grades in school and go to colledge and University and get my

degree and maybe even a Ph.D. I'll have to travel the earth in search of that

which layeth unknown! Iíll have to go through bat guano, search tight caves,

perform experiments that will NOT (in any way) harm the creatures themselves!

I vow to myself and to every living thing on this earth that they will never

be subject to scientific tests that hurt or may even kill them under my hand.

This is what I want to be!

My hero Cara-Leigh, inspires me to do great things some day. She is my

closest friend. She is my most trusted friend. She is my best friend. She

is an awesome athlete but that is not why she is my hero.

She is my hero because she has everything in common with me. It is not

because she has done great things that inspire me to keep a great friendship

with her. It is because she is a great friend. She is always there to talk.

I can trust her with the things I tell her.

We are great friends to others and we encourage each other. We have taken

steps in our walk with Christ together and encourage each other to do what is

right in Gods eyes. We spend so much time together we can read each other

like a book. We also have great communication. I think that is important in

a friendship.

My dream is to stay friends with my hero forever. (So far we have been

friends since she was born, since I’m older, that was the first time we saw

each other.) To achieve my dream my hero and I will have to keep in close

touch. I think both my hero and I aren’t planning on breaking a life long

friendship anytime soon.

That is who my hero is.

I don't really have a hero. I would say that my hero is anybody in this world

that has achieved their goals and dreams in life, like my mom and dad, Kurt

Browning or Terry Fox. Those people are who I admire. Those people are who I

want to be like. Those people are my heroes.

I want to be like all these people because they have carried out their hopes

and dreams. My dream is to someday own my own restaurant and become a great

cook .I want to be a wife and a mother. I want to be like all those out there

who have followed their goals and dreams.

To be the person I want to be, A chef i will have to prepare myself to be a

people person, and willing to go all the way. I will need to attend cooking

and business school. When the door has filially opened I will hopefully by

ready, but I will only be ready because I have learned from my mistakes.

So, I may not have one particular hero, but my one hero is made up of all

those who have followed their hopes, dreams and goals.

My hero, Princess Diana, inspires me to do great things someday.

Princess Diana has worked hard to help people worldwide. Not long ago she

was in

Bosnia and Angola helping to get rid of land mines. She was connected with

over 100 charities and she did alot of work with AIDS and childrens charities.

This year she auctioned off 79 of her gowns and the proceds went to different

organizational charities. Her love towards her sons and people she didn’t even

know will deeply touch all of our hearts. I bet anyone who knew or met her

will always remember her in their hearts. I’m very sure I will.

I want to be like Diana in the future and help less fortunate people. I

want to be my own hero and a hero to my kids, do the best I can do and be the

best I can be. I want people to remember me by the Good things I do. When I

grow up I want to adopt kids from different countries. I want to travel around

the world and do great things like what Princess Diana did.

To achieve my dreams in the future, I will have to work real hard and

strive to do my best. I will have to go down new roads and new paths and not

be afraid what will come around the corner. I must be a strong hard effiecent

worker. I must be a loving, caring person and try hard to make my dreams a reality.

Too many people in this world are unfortunate and I’m going to help change that.

My Hero And Me

I have a hero that isn't a famous actor or athlete, but she is famous to me.

My hero is my mom, Gaye Stewart. Even though she is my mom she is my best

friend and my role model. Ever since I was little I wanted to be just like

her. I loved the way how she knew exactly what to say to cheer me up when

I was down, I used to think she had magical powers. I used to wish that I

would get the same magical powers when I went to sleep. It never happened

but she kept on going.

On Valentines day I used to believe that I would see Cupid, I never did

but she told me that I would see him next year. I used to wish I would

meet Santa at Christmas, she told me that she was sure he would be happy

to meet me but

I had to remember that he had to deliver presents to kids all around the

world. I thought if that was the case then I should stay in bed as late as

I could just cause I might disturb him. I never did meet Santa.

Mom always helped me through school when I felt really frustrated. She

always was right there behind me to cheer me on when ever I needed it. She

makes others feel the same way. If she can do that why can't I? That's why I

want to be exactly like her, okay there is a couple things I would like to add

to make the attitude more personal but who doesn't. If I can be just like her

I will already have everything I'll need.

I think my hero could be : Dianna the Princes of Wales because she helped a

gave them food, cloth, roof, for them to live. First of all she gave them

love.

She went and visited a lot of countries everywhere in the world too.

My heroine Karen Kain inspires me to do great things someday. Karen Kain has

made a large contribution to the world of the arts, especially dance. She is

considered Canadaís Prima Ballerina. Karen Kain has danced for many years. I

admire her hard work and how she believed in herself. She is currently

wrapping up her career with a farewell tour. I want to be like her because

I love to dance. I would like to be very talented like her and make an

impact on the arts as she did. I think in order to achieve my dream I

would need to continue my dance training for years to come. Also, I would

need to continue to be a hard worker and to believe in myself. One of the

most important things that has to remain strong during the long journey to

reach your dream is that you have to really love what you are doing. If

you donít, it is not going to be worth it. If I keep at it I know

that I just might make it and get where I want to go.

David Copperfield is my hero.

My hero is David Copperfield. I look up to him, and I am one of his biggest

fans.

David Copperfield is the 6th highest paid entertainer in America ($47 million

a year, or more.) He is not my hero because he of his paycheck, but because

that he is a good magician. He has done many television specials, won dozens

of Emmys, and he was named Entertainer of the year twice. He is the only

illusionist to receive the Chevalier of Arts and Letters by the French

government. He is also the star of the longest running musical in Chicago

history, The Magic Man. He owns a magic museum somewhere hidden in he Nevada

desert. In it, he has Houdini props, and he has a copy of the first recorded

book that discusses magic secrets. It was written in the 16th century.

He is my hero for all that he has done for magic, and because he is the

greatest magician of all-time. You see, I am obsessed with magic. It is my

life. Magic is David Copperfieldís life. He has done all that I dream of doing

when it comes to magic. He owns a magic museum which holds the history of

magic, he was the youngest person ever admitted to the Society of American

Magicians ( a prestigious magic organization), and he was teaching magic at a

university when he was only 16. I dream of becoming like him. He had a dream,

and he worked towards it, making his dream his life. During his flying

illusion he said, ìA lot of people have dreams, and they donít do anything

about them. Sometimes Iím afraid thatís going to happen to me... ... I guess

if I havenít havenít stopped trying, I havenít lost.î

In order to achieve my dream of becoming a true magician, I will have to work

hard at it, just like Copperfield did. I will have to work hard, for years, to

make the best possible performance as possible, just like Copperfield did. (He

spent 7 years designing ëFlyingí, one of his signature performances.) I can

never give up, and always push

towards my goal. I will have to be willing to making personal sacrifices, and

I will have to be willing to work for endless hours to improve my routine,

plus I will have to take the time to keep informed about illusions for sale,

and what other magicians are doing, so I can be aware of what else is

happening in the world of magic.

My hero Martha Stewart inspires me to do great things someday. Martha

Stewart has made a huge homemaking empire out of almost nothing. She

started off as a stock broker, then became a caterer. Now Martha Stewart

has a magazine, TV show and makes public appearances on shows like CBS This

Morning. She also has published books and has her own web site. Martha

has great talent when it comes to decorating, cooking, gardening and being

creative. I want to be like Martha Stewart because she wasnít a famous

person or

anything like that and now she is famous and has her own show and magazine.

I want to be like Martha because I know I can have my own empire of

software or something like that. I know I can because if someone who

wasnít baking or in the public eye all her life and now she is, then I can

do it as well. I look up to Martha Stewart because she is very creative

and can make things out of old rusty things that we would normally throw

out. Martha can grow chickens, garden and lots more, while still having a

magazine and TV show. Her creativity and talent is very inspiring.

To achieve my dream, I will pursue what I really want to do now matter

what. I will learn how to make software, go to university and keep

following what I want to do even if something stands in my way. I will

make an empire of the things that I will make just like Martha Stewart did.

I would also have to get a job before university so that I can go to the

best university that deals in computers and technology. I want to also

have my own magazine or something like that. If Martha Stewart can build

an empire like she has, then so can I.

I will try and do all I can to succeed and follow my dream.

I want to be like a number of people. I would like to be artistic like my

Mum, and smart like my Dad. I would like to be giving like my Grandpa and

Grandma. I would like to be like my Auntie Evelyn because she is patient and

kind. But one person I really want to be like is Corrie ten Boom. She was

kind, stood for what she believed in, and did what she knew was right.

Corrie ten Boom lived in Holland during World War 2. She and her family hid

Jews from the Nazis. One day, a man came into the ten Booms' watch shop in

Haarlem. He asked if Corrie would help him collect enough money to get his

wife out of jail. His wife had been arrested for hiding Jews. Corrie agreed,

and when she handed him the money, the next thing she knew, Nazi soldiers were

marching in. The man had been a spy! The Jews the ten Booms had been hiding

were not found, for the family had put a secret room in their house.

The ten Booms were taken to various prisons and concentration camps. Corrie

and Betsie, her sister, while in the camps, told the prisoners about Jesus.

Out of Corrie's family, only she and her brother, Willem, survived

imprisonment. Her father died in prison, and later, her sister, Betsie, died

in a concentration camp. Corrie's nephew also died while in prison.

After the war ended, and Corrie was released, she spread the message that

Jesus is the light of the world and that his love and forgiveness are stronger

than hate. She demonstrated this, later in her life, when she met one of the

guards from a concentration camp at which she was imprisoned. Corrie had

preached at a church in Munich, Germany. At the end of the service, a man

came up to her. She recognized him as one of the Nazi guards that had been at

Ravensbruck, one of the death camps she had been sent to! He asked for her

forgiveness and put out his hand to shake. At first Corrie thought she could

not. But she thought of how God had forgiven her. She told him that he had

her forgiveness. She slowly put out her hand and she knew that she had

forgiven him. It must have been a very hard thing to do.

Corrie ten Boom was always kind, even if people were mean. She looked at

what was beyond the immediate situation. She saw the broader picture and

acted accordingly. She didn't always think of herself, but served others,

even when it could be dangerous. I think if I want to be like her, I should

do my best to be kind to others, and try to forgive them if they are mean. I

can make decisions based on what I know is right and do my best to stand for

what I believe.

My Hero and Me

My hero, Jesus Christ, inspires me to do great things someday.

Jesus, the son of God, came to Earth to save mankind from hell. He

walked on water, He raised the dead, He healed the sick, He preached the

gospel. Jesus was killed on a cross because of who he was, but He rose

from the grave three days later. I want to be a teacher/preacher like

Him.

My hero Thomas Edison inspires me to do great things someday. Edison was

born in Milan, Ohio on February 11, 1847 and was one of the greatest inventors

of his era. At age six Edison decided to see what would happen if he started

a small fire in the corner of his parentís barn and you can guess what

happened. At age twelve he left home and got a job on a train selling candy.

In his spare time he set up a laboratory in the baggage car, where he did his

experiments. At age sixteen, he was working as a telegraph operator and made

improvements to the telegraph. He spent his whole life developing new ideas.

Edison invented many useful things for people. He invented the movie

projector, the Kinetoscope, the Kinetograph, the Alkaline Storage Battery, the

Carbon Telephone Transmitter, and his greatest invention, the Light Bulb. His

inventions have dramatically changed the world. They have made our lives much

easier, more fun, and exciting. I desire to be like him, because I want to be

an inventor when I grow up. I wish to develop something fantastic that will

help people. It would be quite interesting to create something new.

One characteristic of his that I admire is patience, which I have very

little of and will have to develop if I want to be like him. I have a great

imagination, which will definitely help. If Iím going to even be an inventor,

I will need to get a university degree in Science and Technology. Skill in

taking things apart and putting them back together would be needed. Iíd have

to be more adventurous, because if you are afraid to blow something into

billions of pieces ,or that your experiment might not work, then you wonít go

very far. Without Thomas, we wouldnít have things like television, movies,

cameras, and telephones( no television! Argggg ! ). One day, I hope to be

like Thomas Edison, the great inventor, and to invent something that will

change the world!

My hero John Reid inspires me to do great things someday. John Reid joined
the World Wide business so that his family could one day be financially independent.
By doing this he has shown people that by owning their own business and taking
there eyes off them selves and putting them on other people, that they too can
become financially independent. John has shown ME a successful profitable business.

I want to be like this person because I want to build this business and help
others be financially independent. John Reid is goal orientated and insists
on production. An attribute that I have always valued is the ability to be
organized and John also has this quality and I hope to further develop these
characteristics. John is a people person, he has a heart for people , and
often puts his wants and needs after that of others . Honesty in the business
world today is a rare quality but essential for a long term successful
business. One of the most important qualities I like most about John is his
since of humor.

My dreams are: a) Finnish high school b) Build my World Wide business, and
c) Obtain my degree in Interior design. In order to achieve these dreams I
must complete school (grade 12). To build the World Wide business there are
ten core steps which I must preform constantly and persistently. They are as follows:

          CORE
1. Share the business potential 2-3 times per week.
2. Service 10 retail customers.
3. Listen to a tape every day of someone who has achieved a successful level
in the
     business.
4. Read at least 15 minutes a day a positive mental attitude book preferably
before you go to bed.
5. Be accountable.
6. Be teachable.
7. 100 dollars per month.
8. Attend all functions.
9. Turn in a counseling sheet to your sponsor once a month.
10. Use your profit and savings as seed money to reinvest back into your
business.

Once I have my business built I will have the money and the time, to be able
to go to collage and get my degree in Interior Design. Then I will have all
my dreams for-filled, and am certain that I will have more dreams at that time.

I am excited and looking forward to the future, because I know that it holds
so many, positive expectations!
