MY HERO AND ME

RESPONSES

Safed, Israel

My hero is Hashem (G-d) because he watches over me all of the time, and he
watches over Israel. He does this because he loves us, and wants to do this
only out of His goodness. We believe that he exists.

Hashem can do anything. He makes miracles for Israel. For example, He took
us out of Egypt. He fought for us. He gives me feelings of security. I
bless Him everyday. Hashem has given us a precious gift, the Torah.

Shanni

My hero is Hashem (G-d) because He gave us the commandments and the Torah
and He teaches us everything through them. When I do a commanment, I
believe in Him, and when I eat breakfast, for example, I bless Him.

He tells us "Love your friends like you love yourself," and everyday when I
see my friends I do this. When He tells us "respect your mother and your
father," I do this, too.

Meital

My hero is my father because he is handsome and he loves me very much. I
love my father. For my birthday, he bought me a present that I like very
much. When my friends hurt my feelings, my father kisses me and I stop
crying. My father is strong and he has big muscles. He is tall and he
helps others who are shorter to reach things. He loves the Torah and Hashem
(G-d), and I love him because he loves me.

Hagit

My heroine is my mother. She is a strong woman. She arrived in Israel from
Tunis by ship. The voyage took a long time. She came across many dangers.
I love her very much!

My mother teaches me that if it is hard in life, this is from G-d, and we
have the possibility to overcome all the dangers or problems. My mom also
teaches me to love life in the Holy Land of Israel.

Safed, Israel

My hero is Hashem (G-d), because He gives me something to drink and
something to eat. He gives me my parents, my sisters and my brothers.
Hashem has given us a precious gift, the Torah. This causes me to improve
myself. I do this in His way, with love. For example, I learned to do
things for my parents out of love.
