MY HERO AND ME

RESPONSES

Kentwood ,Michigan

My hero, Kristi Yamaguchi inspires me to do great things someday.
Kristi Yamaguchi won the Olympic gold medal for figure skating in 1992.
Kristi began ice-skating at age four. She won her first competition at age
six. Between winning that first competition and her Olympic gold medal
Kristi worked very hard to become the best she could be. She had to go to
bed at 8 pm and wake up at 5 am to practice, sacrificing a normal childhood
for her love of figure skating. If I want to grow up to be like Kristi then
I will need to keep practicing my figure skating and never give up. Kristi
Yamaguchi is an outstanding role model for young figure skaters like me.
