Writer Janne (boy, age 11)

My hero is Michael Jordan. He is the best basketball player that I know.
He was the best player in NBA in 1996 and scored the largest amount of
points in 1996

Writer Laura (girl, age 11)

My hero is my dad. He takes care of me, my little sister and my mother. He
is a policeman. If somebody, he knows what poverty means. He respects
everyone as they are. Right now he lives in Bosnia. He works there. When
dad is here on his hlidays we give him clothes that he can give to the
orphans there. One of my really nice hobbies is downhill skiing. My dad
takes me to Uuperi (that is downhill skiing center) and usually he skis
with me. I love my dad with all my heart. And I think that everybody would
be like him this world would not be like it is now.

Writer Anna (girl, age 11)

My hero¥s name is Jared Leto. He is an actor. He is my hero because he is
so cute and nice in a TV series called "My so called life". I sort of
admire his rolefigure but he is very cute in reality too.

Writer Reetta (girl, age 11)

My hero is my old conductor, Anne Peltonen. She is a good flautist, a good
conductor and a lovely friend. She was my conductor for 2 years until she
went to Denmark to study to play the flute. Anne is my hero because she is
the best conductor in the world and because of her help I am a good
flautist.

Writer Anssi (boy, age 11)

My hero is Jari Litmanen. he has made Finnish football worldknown. That is
why he is my hero

Writer Marianne (girl, age 11)

My heroes are my mum and dad because without them I would not be here.
When I was a little girl and I had to go to hospital,  my mum and dad came
to see me and brought my favourite candy and my mum slept with me in the
hospital. And of course my heroes are too my three sisters, because they
play games with me, sometimes they go with me to city and they buy me for
example ice cream, sweets and something cheap.

Writer Anssi (boy, age 11)

My hero is Jari Monkkonen. Now he is the most famous gymnast in Finland.
His best achievement is the eight place in the world championchip of the
horisontal bar. He is a good friend too. That is why he is my hero.

Writer Suvi (girl age 11)

My heroes are my mum and my dad. They are always there when i need them.
They gave me my life. They give me money, home, food and clothes. They let
me have my hobbies. They are not too strict. My sister helps me too. They
are my heroes.

Writer Aki (boy, age 11)

My hero is Ville Peltonen. His three goals decided the match between
Finland and Sweden in 1995. I think we know him because of these goals.
Now he is playing in a team called San Jose Sharks. He is now playing in a
farm team.

Writer Aleksi (boy, age 11)

My hero is Neil Armstrong, because he was the first man to step on the
Moon. This happened in 1969. Armstrong landed on the Moon with Edvin
Aldrin and said:"This is a little step for a man, but a big jump for the
mankind. After many years and problems a man walked on the moon and that
is  why Neil Armstrong is my hero.

My hero Elaine Paige inspires me to do great things someday. She is an
actress and a
singer. Somebody has said that she justifies the title "the first lady
of British musical
theatre". I would like to have such voice as she has when I'm grown up
and I would
like to be a singer too.

My hero Elisabeth Rehn inspires me to do great things someday. She
inspires me,
because she has done so much good  for other people in Finland and all
oveer the world.
She is positive, warm, and she helps people.
I hope, that I can someday be as good and as helpful as she.

Johanna , Helsinki

MY HERO
Her name is "Dana Scully".
She is a FBI special agent in the TV-program "X-files".
Dana inspires me becouse she has an interesting job and she is
beautiful,  stylish and
always very sensible.

MY HERO
My hero is Riitta Uosukainen. She is the speaker of finnish parliament.
Actually she is not very
good politician, but she has charisma and she is very good performer.
Her dresses a bit flavorless,
and she uses terrible strapshoes, but anyway she is elegant.

My hero Jani Hurme inspires me to do great things someday. Jani Hurme
plays ice-hockey in TPS. He is a goalkeeper.
Hurme trains lots to be the best and he is. He is the best goalkeeper in
SM-league and he also plays in the Finlands
national team. He is young, only 22 years old, but he still is humble.
Laura Ristola

My hero Markus Hurme inspires me to do great things someday.
Markus is a professional snowboarder. He thinks at people must do
things what they like and not just dream a bout it.
I want to be great snowboarder someday.

Antti Kauhanen, Helsinki

My Hero John Lennon inpires me to do great things someday.
He was singer in a band called Beatles. He was a very good
singer and an anti-war activist.Unfortunatedly, he was shot in
front of his house in New York in 1980. Every year on
December 8th, a lot of people visit John Lennon's home in
New York.
