KIDLINK FLAG Project

Moderated by Robbert Uittenbroek and Andraz Tancek

       KIDPROJ FLAGS PROJECT '95

Dear Friends,

We (Andraz and I) would like to organize a project. A project about flags. We are asking 'kids' to send us a 'drawing' of their flag and also a description... What do the colors mean, and maybee some history... Please DRAW your flag, because 'scanned' pictures are very big, and when we get a lot... then the hard-drive will get too full :) Please sent your drawn flag with a description to:

KIDPROJ@vm1.nodak.edu

If you're not registrated on KIDPROJ, you can registrate by sending a message to:

listserv@vm1.nodak.edu

In the body of the message type:

SUB KIDPROJ

Then it will take some times, and you'll get a message you're registrated and can send the 'flag letter' to that adress...

If you don't understand what I just told, you always can send the letter with the flag & description to:

Andraz - pttsc3@public1.noprmd.mail.si

Robbert - parwanto@hacktic.nl

We will send them then for you...

Thank you,

Andraz & Robbert

Flags...

Back in April Steef de Haas sent Patti a beautiful .gif file of the new South African flag. TIME magazine (May 9, 1994) described the moment in history: "On Wednesday morning at at 12:01, the old order formally ended as cheering crowds in the nine new provincial capitals hailed the lowering of apartheid's blue, white and orange flag and the raising of a banner with six colors symbolizing the people, their blood, their land the gold under the ground, the sky- and white for peace."
