Estelle Pringle
Hello, my name is Estelle Pringle.
I am a retired teacher who spent 33 years in the classroom, my home rooms being grade 7 & 8. My major subjects were history and English. I also served as the librarian for several years.
When I retired I became involved in helping to write our local history book, became the president of our local historical society and am the volunteer coordinator of our history/genealogy room. I am also a member of our OGS (Ontario Genealogy Society) and several local branches. That is how I keep 'busy' in retirement.
I have been dabbling in genealogy for some years, now. My mother's side came from England in 1910. My father's side came to Connecticut, 1654 and to Canada as United Empire Loyalists, 1784. I also have Pennsylvanian-German roots, too.
I am looking forward to helping students in their 'quest for roots'.
Happy Hunting
