Diane Chiang
Hello to everyone,
I have not introduced myself. Who am I? Where do I begin?
Introduction:
This is the very first time I have participated on KIDLINK. I am very unsure but willing to learn. This will mean carefully pacing myself and not rushing. Actually I feel like a duck out of water in this neck of the woods. There are so many participants in USA and you are all gunho! about research and getting right into the depths of the Family History project. It is an inspiration in itself.I am doing external studies (M.Ed) while at the same time teaching in an International School here in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Really keeps me on my toes. Right now our school is open to discussion about Multimedia PC and Internet; but the HM is a little unsure. Familiar story?
So I talked to Diane Smith and here I am. My daughter is my only pupil who is registered with KIDLINK. However I hope to get my Primary/elementary 5 students involved in this project offline. This is to generate interest amongst the school in general about the advantages of Internet in classrooms.
I have communicated with Mrs Chop from Malaysia over email and she was helpful and encouraging. She has participated in KIDPROJ in the past.
I will end here for the moment as I know we are all too busy to read very long email messages. Hee! hee!
CYA
