My name is Carol Schwaderer Dickinson. I live in Anchorage Alaska. I have been doing genealogy research for 19 years officially. I actually was interested in family history when I was quite young and asked a lot of questions but because of my age I had no credibility so I got careless answers which often were wrong. By the time I was old enough to be respected for my interest, many of the people who knew the answers had died. I wish that when I was younger, I had known how to get good answers and how to make adults believe me. I love working with young people who want to learn about their familiy history.

In my own familiy history I have some lines that I can only trace back about 100 years and others that go back 300 or 400 years. I have one line which connects to the ancient kings of Europe, England, Scotland, scandanavia. That line has been traced by others back to about 200 A.D.

I have experience researching in (Tuscola Co.) Michigan, (Ashtabula Co.) Ohio, Long Island in New York state, Ontario, and Ireland. I have visited to LDS library in Salt Lake City, worked with census records, and family histories. I also have a strong interest in very old photographs.
