Bonnie Everhart
Hello Everyone!
My name is Bonnie and I am really looking forward to helping students explore their roots. Twenty-five years ago, when I moved to PA from Ohio, my uncle in Missouri send me a yellowed old typewritten paper about my ancestors, noting they were "from Pennsylvania". I was bitten by the "genealogy bug" for which there is no cure! I have lived in Ohio, Missouri, Iowa, Pennsylvania and now in North Carolina.
For 10 years I operated my own business as a genealogy/historical researcher and have taught lineage workshops for DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution).
I have many reference works in my library and hope to be of assistance by providing names and addresses of organizations student may contact to further their research.
Also, I have done research in Scotland, England, Wales and Germany.
I have a copy of Strasburger & Hinke's "Pennsylvania German Pioneers" which contains ship passenger lists for the port of Philadelphia for the time period 1727 to 1808. I will gladly do "look-ups"!
My special interest is German Baptist Brethren immigrants of the 18th Century. Having served as Chairman of the Immigrant Ancestor Register of PALATINES TO AMERICA for 10 years, I have access to those records as well.
Good luck to one and all; let's get to work and have some fun sharing our discoveries!
