Bonny McLaughlin
Hello all,
My name is Bonny McLaughlin and I am a volunteer. I've been working on genealogy on and off for about 20 years. First got interested in late grade school or junior high when a teacher introduced a family history project in the classroom. My great-aunt was visiting us at the time and she later had research done on her branch of the family and sent it to me. That was the basis for my research to take off in later years.
I have done research for a number of friends and relatives over the years and enjoy doing theirs as much as mine. Have researched heavily in central and western Pennsylvania, western Ohio, east Texas, and have also worked on lines in Iowa, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Georgia, Alabama, and Oklahoma.
My husband has African American ancestry so I have quite a bit of basic material on doing African American research.
I have been on a number of genealogy e-mail lists. Right now I'm on the Pennsylvania Dutch and Pennsylvania Catholic lists, but Afrigeneas (the African American list), Texahoma (Texas-Oklahoma), and many other helpful lists are just an e-mail away.
Genealogy resources on the Internet have grown by leaps and bounds this past year, and my bookmark file is bristling with great sites. I'll be glad to help in any way I can.
Some of the names I have researched are
McLaughlin, Rathbun, Huss, Grover, Walley, Greenawalt/Gruenewald, Stover, Snook, Harpster, Gearhart, Rutherford, Shaw, Elliott, Haines, Nelson, Morgan, Lillard, Stewart, and Harris.
Looking forward to working with everyone on Kidlink.
