LETTER OF INTRODUCTION
Oldbury Wells School, Shropshire, England

We are Year 8 pupils at Oldbury Wells School, which is in Bridgnorth,
a small, old market town in Shropshire. Our school has approximately
900 pupils.
We have two main buildings, East and West, either side of a main road.
We have a brand-new business studies block for Years 10 and 11 (aged
14-16) We also have a recently refurbished Performing Arts block with
new keyboards and dance studios.
Pupils aged 11-16 (Years 7-11) go to our secondary school, together
with a sixth form (Years 12 and 13), aged 17-18. We take our options
at 14 when we get to change some lessons. We have French, English,
Physical Education, Performing Arts, Literacy, Technology, Science,
Religious Education, Geography and Maths over a two week timetable.
We have school dinners which are cooked on the premises. Lining up for
dinners or sandwiches is like waiting for the gates to open at a
football match.
Our school day starts at 8.55 a.m. and finishes at 3.40 p.m. with a
lunch hour and two small breaks in between times.
We are looking forward to reading work from other schools.
