Hello, everyone around the world. I am writing from Memorial Middle
School in South Portland, Maine in the U.S.A.. Our 7th grade Social
Studies class, consisting of students ages 12 and 13, is proud to
participate in the "Through Our Eyes" program.
      Memorial Middle School consists of about 460 6th, 7th and 8th
graders. The regular school day is from 8:05am to 2:15pm. We go to
school from early September to mid June. Our school is located next to a
golf course and a public library. South Portland is a fairly big city
with a popular mall and many stores. We have a very good sports program
during all seasons. The great thing about Maine is that we have 4 very
distinct seasons: winters, warm summers, colorful falls, and beautiful
springs.
       We enjoy reading your letters and we hope you enjoy reading

Hi my new friends,
 	My name is Angelicia Woodbury.  I am 12 years old and in the seventh
grade.  My birthday is Jan.12,1985.
	I’m pretty tall.  I have blue eyes and  light brown hair.
  	For fun I like to go to school dances and play sports with my
friends.  Sports I play are basketball, softball, and soccer.  I also
like to run indoor track.  If I’m not doing homework or playing sports
I’m pretty lucky and I’m usually just hanging out with my friends.
	South Portland, Maine is where I live.  South Portland is a pretty big
and busy city.  We just opened a new million dollar bridge.  South
Portland is a very beautiful city.  We are surrounded by beaches and
shopping malls.  It’s not hard to have fun in this city!  Memorial
Middle School is the school I go to.  It is pretty big and the teachers
are pretty nice.  (except they give a lot homework!!)
