Hello from Arizona,

We are an accelerated reading/literature class from John Jacobs
Elementary in Phoenix. There are 11 of us from grades 4, 5, and 6.

Our school day starts at 7:35 and ends at 2:35. There are 535 students
here in grades K-6. Our school is located next to a golf course. Each
classroom has an outside door and no windows. Our classrooms are
air-conditioned because it is so hot here for much of the year. (It is
still 100 degrees.)

We live in the desert and our average annual rainfall is only about 7
inches. Our city has many golf courses so even though we live in the
desert there is lots of green grass.
