We are a group of 16 students from Ms. Fonseca’s class at  I.E.S Parc de
L’Escorxador from Barcelona, the Olympyc City in 1992. "Parc" means park and
"Escorxador" means slaughterhouse. It is called llike this because it is
near an old slaughterhouse. Our secondary school has about 800 students. We
are boys and girls from 12 to 17. We are 15 years old.  Every class has 35
students. Our school has ten computers and only one of this has Internet.We
don’t wear uniform. Our classes start at 8.00 and finish at 13.30. Then, we
go home for lunch and come back at 15.30 until 17.30 some days a week.
Our city is very beautiful, quiet and big. It has 1’8 million  people. It is
situated on the north coast of Spain. We have beautiful beaches which is
very important for us because the Mediterranean Sea is very calm and  the
weather is very nice. 
In Barcelona there are a lot of fantastic monuments : Sagrada Familia, Parc
Güell, by Gaudí ... and a lot of modernists buildings.  Barcelona is in
Catalonia (it is like a state in U.S.A but smaller). In Catalonia the people
speak another language, Catalan has another culture and our “little white
house” but we belong to Spain. Like Scotland in U.K or Quebec in Canada.
Eveybody likes soccer and most  people are F.C.Barcelona’s (Barça)
supporters. Barça is one of five best teams”” in the world. Here soccer
moves a lot money and a lot of people. Barça  has a lot of sports :
Handball, Basketball, Beisball, Hockey, Ice Hockey... . In Barcelona there
is an American Football Team, that team,Barcelona Dragons, won the 
World League.  We are very excited and happy to be in the project.
