Triangle Park
Hamilton Central School, Hamilton, New York, USA

In the middle of our town, there is a park that is shapped like a piece of pizza. It is quiet and peaceful. The sidewalk pushes the park together. There is green grass the color of peppers and brown, bubbly bark on the trees, that have very few leaves. Grasshoppers ho around on the wet, slippery leaves and crusty, old, brown leaves crunch as you step on them. The soft earth gives with each step we take and the grass springs up behind us like rising dough. Random little rocks look like they have been sprinkled across the park. Stiff, dark brown worms lie dead in the grass. the air smells crisp and fresh. The 6th grade students in Mrs. Rose's room

The Barge Canal
Hamilton Central School, Hamilton, New York, USA

The Barge Canal is a popular spot located in the center of our village. There is a large sign with Barge Canal written in green text and a painting of a coffee cup in the front window. There is a tree and a pizzeria next door. When you open the large glass door with the bronze handle, the smell of coffee inhabits your nostrils. There are comfortable chairs with big, thick, stuffed cushions and flowered material covered couches with marble top tables. To the right of you there are more tables and a selection of slick, smooth chocolate, tasty sour patch kids and other delicacies. In front of you there is a large, green topped counter hollowed out with shelves inside to display food. On the counter are gourmet coffee sticks, smelling of mint, rich chocolate and spicy cinnamin. there is a selection of gifts like shirts, mugs, coffee and gift certificates. On the left are luxurious couches and a Pooh corner for children's tea parties with plastic tupperware. there are boardgames and picture books, fancy wicker chairs and a wide variety of lip smacking treats. There is "elevator" music playing and you can hear the sounds of people munching and chatting. Sometimes bands play music and the sound is relaxing. You can order bagles with creamy, white cream cheese, hot creamy-rific hot chocolate in giant cups and cookies that are in the shape of mugs. Red sprinkles are on some of the cookies and the raspberry taste makes your tastebuds dance. Many business people go there. The Barge has a lap top computer hookup so people can do their work in a mellow atmosphere. The coffee shop is one of our favorite places to visit. We hope that with our description you can see why we love to sit in our Barge Canal Coffee Shop. By Claire, Marc, Matt, Matt and Sam Ms. Pilarski's 6th grade class
