Hello from San Francisco, California, USA. We are located in the highest
point of San Francisco near a mountain called Mt.Davidson which is where
we will be doing our essays. We will be going on a field trip to Mt. Davidson
very shortly to gather information for our essays. There is a group now that is
trying to save Mt. Davidson with respect to various environmental concerns.
We went to Mt. Davidson, our designated spot, but it rained so we had
to run back with our clipboards and notebooks on our heads.
Here are the descriptive nouns, action verbs and adjectives that we came up
with as a class:
Nouns: trees, bushes, flowers, berries, birds, poison oak, acorns, leaves,
pine needles, snakes, the big cross, spiders, view, bugs, dirt, mud,
caterpillars, butterflies, earth, rocks, nature, dogs, raccoons, skunks,
people, squirrels.
Adjectives: windy, green, cold, rainy, hot, wet, slippery, dirty, muddy,
creepy, steep.
Action Verbs: walking, flying, running, hiking, splashing, riding, biking,
slipping, falling, eating, sleeping, jumping, picnicking, skipping,
hopping.
