Hello from Springfield Convent Senior School
Our Topic will be "CAPE TOWN'S WATERFRONT"
To be written by the std 8 English class of Mrs Pam Van Huysteen. We
chose Cape Town's Waterfront as our topic as this site has become one
of the cities most popular and attractive tourist destinations. The
Waterfront is a constant flurry of activity. The continual buzz and
cheerful chatter of people as they browse through the myriad Shopping
Malls, the lapping of water and the creaking noise of the boats and
yachts that offer scheduled cruises and private charters, the sounds
of Cape Town's howling "south easter" (it's Table Cloth), the IMAX
theatre with its giant motion picture system which projects images 10
times larger than a conventional screen, the newly opened Aquarium
and a host of restaurants and pubs represent only a few of the
sights, sounds and smells that make up this vibrant centre.
May you too one day be able to visit this Fun-filled destination in
the heart of Cape Town.
