                                             The Red Deer River

         This is Mrs. Dalton's Grade 9 Language Arts class. We have chosen
to write about the Red Deer River in our area.  The Red Deer River is a
very peaceful river with lots of wildlife. There are many different kinds
of fish, such as rocky mountain white fish, trout, many pike, etc. There
are many dead beavers in the river right now because we are having a
serious problem with them chewing the trees down. The reason we chose the
Red Deer is because we live near there and the river is very neat. If you
go further up the river there are very good rapids and there is a business
that has a real good set up for white water rafting.
