Bonjour,
We're an 8th grade class of international students.We come from many different places such as New Caledonia,Canada, Switzerland, America, England and ,of course, France.As Grenoble is a centre of research and has many international companies,it attracts foreign scientists and engineers.
Grenoble is situated in the heart of the French Alps, only a 3-hour train journey from Paris (by TGV Train a grande vitesse) 2 hours from Geneva (Switzerland) and 2 hours from Italy.
Stendhal, our school, is a historical monument dating back to 1660.It is a junior high and high school educating 1,700 students. Most of our day is spent at school or doing homework.We have between 32-36 hours of class per week.Our average day starts at 8a.m and finishes at 5p.m except on Wednesdays and Saturdays when we finish at noon.
The little free time we have is spent on outside activities..sports (skiing,
climbing, basketball,tennis ice skating and shopping!!) playing musical
instruments, watching TV and reading.
