Letter of Introduction
Morning Class
Hi!
We are the seventh grade morning writing class of Mrs. Buehler from St. Mary
School in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. Our class is similiar to the other classes
because our class consists of six girls and three boys.
St. Mary is located in Hyde Park, a suburb of Cincinnati. Our community is
filled with old homes, lots of trees, sidewalks, and many small street shops.
Students at St. Mary's enjoy activities such as soccer, swimming, football,
volleyball, and baseball. Some students are also very involved with acting
and drama.
If you were to visit Cincinnati, some popular tourist attractions include
Kings Island, Cinergy Field, which hosts the Reds, our baseball team, and
the Bengals, our football team. Tall Stacks is also an event which draws
people from many areas.
The twenty-seventh president of the United States, William Howard Taft, was
born and raised in Cincinnati. Some of his favorite foods were Graeter's
Ice Cream and Skyline Chili, for which Cincinnati is famous. He indulged in
them so much, he became stuck in his bathtub!
We hope you enjoyed our letter, and we are looking forward to hearing back
from you!
Have a good week.
Michele, Jessica, David, Matt, Katie, Mary, Brian, Julie, and Monifa.

Afternoon Class
Hi from Cincy!
Our group goes to St. Mary School in Hyde Park. Our school consists of
Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. In our class, there are four boys and
four girls. All of us are twelve years old and are presently in the seventh
grade. We are in Mrs. Buehler's afternoon class of the Enrichment writing
group.
Our school has a new computer lab. All of the computers can get on the
Internet at one time! We have many fundraisers at our school, of which our
favorite is the parish festival. It is the second largest in the city.
We live in the Ohio Valley whose terrain consists of hills, valleys, and
rivers. Our community is composed of parks, squares, and plazas. Hyde Park
has mostly big, old houses and small yards.
Cincinnati is famous for many things, such as Graeter's Ice Cream, Skyline
Chili, and Paramount's Kings Island. It was rated #1 as the most livable
city last year. The Cincinnati Zoo is the second largest in the United
States. The Ohio River offers many activities for native Cincinnatians and
visitors. There are numerous restaurants, B&B Riverboats, and the Delta
Queen, one of the few paddleboats remaining, on the river. Each year, the
Delta Queen races the Mississippi Queen.
Children in Cincinnati like to play soccer, volleyball, basketball, and
football. Our school has quite a few sports' teams.
Our weather is very unpredictable. Currently, we are experiencing the season
of Fall. One day it is very cool, and the next day it is warm.
We are looking forward to doing the project and getting to know all of you.
Have a good week.
