Hunt For Famous Explorers Game

Play Dates - Game Timeline

Registration: April 1 - April 17, 1998

Introduce Yourselves by April 17:
Please introduce yourselves by writing a description of your class, your school, and your community. Introductions should be sent to the KIDPROJ list so everyone can read it! Introductions may be mailed after your class is registered for the game. Please put "Explorers" somewhere in the subject line, ie; "Explorers- Kent Learning Center Intro".
Week 1
April 20-Monday, a list of all participating sites and email addresses will be posted to the KIDPROJ board as one message. Keep this list to have the email addresses of where to send your yes/no questions asked of each site. Also during this week, all participating sites will choose their famous explorer and create 9 interesting clues. Clues and explorer: Send to the moderator at dianes@halcyon.com by April 25.
Week 2
April 27- First set of 3 clues Posted to KIDPROJ. ONE yes/no question may be asked of each playing site regarding their explorer. These questions are to be sent DIRECTLY TO THE SITE and NOT to the organizer. The questions should not be a guess.
Week 3
May 4 - Second set of 3 clues Posted to KIDPROJ - ONE yes/no question may be asked of each playing site regarding their explorer. These questions are to be sent DIRECTLY TO THE SITE and NOT to the organizer.
Week 4
May 11 - Third set of 3 clues Posted to KIDPROJ - ONE yes/no question may be asked of each playing site regarding their explorer. These questions are to be sent DIRECTLY TO THE SITE and NOT to the organizer.
Week 5
May 23 - Guesses Due - On Monday of this week, a list of all playing sites (with no email addresses) will be sent out by the organizer. Hit the reply key and enter ONE guess next to each site for the identity of the explorer you think they have chosen. Send the list to the moderators at dianes@halcyon.com
Week 6
May 27-May 29 - Results posted to KIDPROJ
Follow-up
Begin sending email discussion to the KIDPROJ list anytime after the results are posted.
