Subject: Introduction from Saddle Rock Elementary School in Great Neck, NY
Hello, We are kids participating in the Explorer Project. Here is the
background you wanted on our class and our school. Our school has students in
kindergarten to 5th grade. Our class happens to be a fourth grade class. Ms.
Stafford is our teacher. We have 19 children in our class. 9 of them are boys
and 10 of them are girls. Our school has many special activities. Math Lab is a
program that helps children build up their math skills. SIR is a reading program
to teach children comprehension in reading. IPI is a program for students who
need extra challenges. The Resource Room is for children who need help in a
variety of subjects. Art, Industrial Arts, Phys Ed,Science and music are
programs for every child. We have a Student Government. A representative and
alternate is chosen by each class by voting. LGM or Large Group Meeting is for
grades 3, 4 and 5. In LGM programs like Cultural Enrichment, trivia and gym
activities are held. Our school has a band, chorus and orchestra. Our band
consists of the flute, clarinet, sax, trumpets, baritone horns and drums. Our
orchestra consists of the violin, viola, cello and bass. Our principal is
Dr.Korant and our Assistant principal is named Mr. Caliman. THATS OUR
