Subject: Explorers from Mrs. Faint's Grade 3/4 class at Ocean Grove School in Campbell River, B.C.,Canada.

Hello Everyone:We are members of We have been studying explorers and we are looking forward to working on the Explorers Project.Campbell River is on Vancouver Island which is off the west coast of British Columbia. About 30,000 people live here. There are lots of deer, cougars, black bears, trees, fish whales, beaches and mountains. In the summer you can go swimming in the lakes, rivers or ocean, golfing, hiking, fishing or bike riding. In the winter you can ski or snow board. People work in our pulp mill, sawmills, mines and in the fishing industry.Campbell River is a nice place to live.Our school has 228 students in Grades k to 6. Our school is only 5 years old so everything is quite new. We have 28 computers in our school lab.We play sports such as basketball, track, volleyball and badminton. We have a band for Grade 6 students. We have clubs such as art club, library club, choir, chess club and student council.Our teacher is Mrs. Faint. Our class has 24 kids, 14 girls and 10 boys.Our teacher loves Math and elephants. We sit in groups of four. There are 9 Grade 4's and the rest are Grade 3's. Mrs. Haines the librarian is helping us with this project.That's all about us,The Grade 4's from Mrs. Faint's class.
