Subject: Explorers Intro from Barcelona
Hello everyone!!we are students at IES Parc de L’Escorxador, a
secondary school from Barcelona, weare studying 9th grade and we are looking
forward to working on the Explorers Project.We live in Barcelona, in the north
east of Spain. Barcelona is a beautiful city, with a lot of shops, monuments and
interesting people. Barcelona is in Catalonia, which has over 6.000.000 people.
Two and half million live in Barcelona. The Olympic Games took place here in
1992 and all the people could see how big Barcelona was. We have a soccer team,
called Barça, which is going to win the Spanish league next Saturday 18th
of April.Our school has about 840 students from twelve to eighteen. Our school
was built in 1988, so it’s quite new. We have started reading about
explorers in the world and there are a lot of them.Our teacher is Carmen
Fonseca. She teaches English and we also have classes at the Computer room with
her.It’s spring now and the weather is lovely. If you ever think of coming
