To be sure that our computer and satellite telephone is working all right this message will be sent by satellite too. The last report finally went away but we had some problems with the connection. The satellite (Inmarsat IOR) we are connecting with is over the Indian Ocean so from here it is just over the horizon.
In Eritrea it will much easier (I hope) as the satellite is straight up in the sky.
We have taken some photos with our digital camera. They turn out quite well and are not so big in size ( around 30 Kb) as we thought. This makes it possible for us to send more pictures back home and to the kidlink page.
Yesterday we had our last meeting before we go. There where lots of things to discuss and organize:
* How much clothes do we need ?
* Packpack or suitcase ?
* Medicines
* Gifts to bring with us. We have gathered lots of gifts as solar cell
calculators, pens, paper, books, books about Sweden
We also practiced the Swedish folk music and dance. Some students have asked questions about our music.
We will play violin and flute.
The dances are called polska and schottis.
Next report will come from Asmara on 28th of September.
