This is incredible. I'm sitting on a beach in the humid, warm darkness. We are out on an Island, Dissi, in the Red sea and were going to sleep on the beach under the stars. Earlier we ate some grilled fish that we had been fishing during the day. It was a kind of light red small fishes called cherney in Tigrinya and a bigger leopard-patterned fish. It tasted wonderful. Ida, who is vegetarian, made a Frittata (scrambled eggs with onions and tomato). While we were eating a small goat came along on the beach and took some of our food.
Early this morning we rented a speedboat with a driver, from Maikes boat yard. The journey here took one hour and the boat was really fast. On the way we saw some Dolphins jumping near the boat. First we tried to catch some big fish as Barracuda or sharks but we had no luck. Then it was time for snorkeling at a coral reef. We dived in and found ourselves swimming in a hot ( more than 37 degrees !) aquarium. There where hundreds of different kinds of fishes in all colors and shapes. Most of them we don't know the names of but some we recognized, for instance barracudas, rocka (hjälp Magnus !), and a 1.5 m long shark witch was sleeping under some corals. The water is very salty so we are floating as corks and after hours in the water we felt like roasted salty peanuts (the sun is burning our backs) and have to go up because its too hot. Now the battery in the computer is running out so well quit.
