...and tell us about yours

Please tell us about your playground. In our little project we would like to know...

What Do School Playgrounds Around the World Look Like?

Won't you please join us and:

  1. describe your playground
  2. draw a picture of yourself on your favorite part of the playground - swings, sliding board, jungle gym, soccer field, etc.
  3. send images if possible
  4. tell us what you do when it rains during recess. What kind of indoor play do you have?

We would like to know:

  1. How many children are in your school?
  2. How many classrooms are in your school?
  3. Do we see fire escape steps in the picture of the "west?" (for Isamu)
  4. Are the children playing soccer on the field? (for Isamu)
  5. Do you change classes for math or for any subject?
  6. Is your playground really, really big?
  7. Do you all eat in your cafeteria at one time?
  8. Do you have any portable classrooms?
  9. Do you have kindergarten and pre-K classes?
  10. How many grades do you have?
  11. How many children are in each classroom?
  12. What subjects do you have?
  13. Do you have recess everyday?
  14. How many minutes do you have?

We hope to:

  1. collect information about playgrounds and recess time from schools around the world and.
  2. make charts with the facts about your playground.
  3. analyze that information.
  4. make some conclusions about the facts we gather.
