This book was given to me by a friend. It is about a girl called Harriet who is home for the holidays with her dad because her mom had died when she was young. They live on Longhanger Farm and one morning Harriet hears a noise in the wheat field outside. There was a hole in the middle and she goes to inspect it. There she meets a strange hare from the planet Pars who can change into any shape he wants to. This hare is a wizard because he does magic in Harriet's life, becomes her friend and is then named Wiz. Read to find out the rest. My favourite parts are when she meets Wiz and the end that is a surprise! This book has showed me how lucky I am to have all that I have. I have already read many of Dick King-Smith's books and have also done a project on him. I would recommend this book to anyone you likes animals ( or even if you don't!)
