Medicinal Plants on the Internet Project
English Version Translated by Jerry Lombardi and Angela Teixeira Silva
We're from the Corcovado School (Escola Corcovado) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since we're recently gotten excited about the possibility of developing a new project with our students on KIDLINK, we're inviting other schools to participate in it along with us. It's called "Medicinal Plants on the Internet". For a very long time people have used plants to cure themselves of a variety of ailments.
Considering that young people are deeply interested in environmental questions, conducting research about medicinal plants will provide them with an insight into the relationship between human beings and the natural world. Through this project, students will have an opportunity to let others know about the plants used in the regions where they live, and to become familiar with how people in other regions and countries use medicinal plants.
