What about requests for greetings?
One of the ways KIDLINK participants help each other is to send information about special events to show off the power of telecommunications. Requests for greetings should explain the nature of the event and describe how your students are participating in KIDLINK activities. You must also tell people VERY CLEARLY where to send their response. The answers to requests for information MUST NOT be sent to the list.
What kinds of messages are not appropriate?
KIDLINK is an international project. Topics that are specific to a single country are better discussed elsewhere. Announcements are not appropriate except those about KIDLINK activities. We suggest that KIDLINKers who are interested in receiving announcements of general interest to educators should subscribe to one of the many other lists that carry them. (e.g.) KidLeader Lists
  • Messages cross-posted from other lists are not appropriate, even from other KIDLINK lists.
  • Personal messages are also not appropriate. If your answer to someone is not something that would be of general interest to other members of the list, send it directly to that person's email address and NOT to the whole KIDLEADER list.
  • Thank you in advance for your consideration.
