Welcome to Sørlandet

We are four students in seventh grade at Eydehavn school in Norway. Our names are: Jeanette, Karine, Ole Einar and Silje.
We are in a school project. We are working with Kidlink.

The project we are working with is "Virtual Vacation" - to present our part of the country to of Norway, called Sørlandet.

You are just now arrived to the most beautiful part of the world. Sørlandet is the most sunny side in Norway. Here you got the biggest and best ice cream you ever have tasted.

At the evening we take you to Merdø, the diamond of Sørlandet. Merdø is an Island.
We go to have a swim or a sunbath when the evening falls on. When is getting dark, we take on better clothes and go out in a boat to catch crabs.
If we are lucky we can find some of the greatest crabs.

We take them and cook them in a cettle. Let's go ashore on Torungen (if is a lighthouse in the ocean) and make a delicius meal there.

At the same time we can look at the stars on the sky! OH, so romantic! When its bedtime we will take you to Tyholmen. - Tyholmen is a hotel there you are going to spend the night.

We hope you will like the place. Good night and sleep well!

Next day we will give you Arendals famous breakfast. Seacrebs-salad and really good and homemade bread!
Lovely mmmmmmmm.
We would like to meet you in Pollen (Pollen is a beautiful creek in Arendal city, and hope for a really good and sunny day. First we drive in car to Skien, a Norwegian town in the county of Telemark.
On our way to Skien, we will see much beautiful nature. Then we take the boat up the lake "Tinnsjø". You will get a wonderful trip!

Then we are going up to Gaustatoppen. Gaustatoppen is one of Norway's highest mouintains. Gaustatoppen is 1883 meter high.
When we are getting up to the top, I think it is a little bit dark, but we can still see at Norway's finest wood from the top. We can see the northlight on the sky, and the hot wind is blowing the hair!
A friend of us is very good with fishing. Then we can barbeque fishes on the fire at eveningsfood. At night we sleep in a tent. Norway is ineredible!

Next day we take you down the way to Oslo, the capital of Norway. When we arrive Oslo, we go to "Tecknical museum".
At the museum you can see famous tecnical gadgets and computer-things.....

But finally the time is over and we will take you to Gardemoen airport to say goodbye!

We hope you will come to visit us again! Then we can show you around with pleasure!

Thank's for joining us!

Love from- Jeanette, Karine, Ole Einar and Silje - at Eydehavn school, Arendal Norway.
